RASA: A Collaboration

For this weaving/painting project at Hudson Guild, Vandana Jain explored the Rasa system of essences in Indian Art, while Mike Estabrook delved into western symbologies of color. Mike created paintings representing different emotions, which were then cut apart by Vandana and woven back together, resulting in a body of nine hybrid works shown here for the first time.
